Lilly Foundation Donates Money and Medicine for Asian Crises

May 28, 2008

The Nationalities Blog mentioned this last week and I have yet to mention it here: The Lilly Foundation, according to the Indianapolis Business Journal will be donating $1.1 million dollars to relief efforts related to the earthquake in China ($800,000 in antibiotics and other medical necessities and another $175,000+ to project HOPE) and the flooding in Burma ($100,000 to Save the Children and World Vision).

I guess this isn’t really a “humanities” based post but rather a “humanitarian” based one.
